Senior
RF IC Design Engineer
Experienced in the design of CMOS Tx and
Rx signal chain circuit blocks such as LNAs, mixers, and VGA
stages. Design experience with fractional-N synthesizers is a strong plus. The
ability to work as part of a small team and an aptitude for developing
skills outside your core set are crucial in this small company
environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will
be a lead engineer in a team responsible for architecture definition
and detailed circuit design of highly integrated and highly configurable
RF blocks and their associated control circuitry for state of
the art wireless transceivers. This position will involve regular interaction with systems engineers for the design of blocks that appropriately address transceiver system issues and tradeoffs. Additional
tasks will include layout of critical circuit blocks and mentoring
of junior engineers.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
5 to 10 years
relevant industry work experience as an RFIC designer with significant
CMOS design experience. Broad ranging skill sets and interests are highly valued. Familiarity
and experience with developing products for one or more of the
following wireless standards is also valued: GSM, GPRS, EDGE,
GPS, CDMA2000, IS-95, 1xRTT, EV-DO, W-CDMA (UMTS), GPS, BlueTooth,
WiFi or WiMax.The successful candidate will have experience
with many of the following tools: Cadence ADE / Spectre / SpectreRF,
VerilogA / Verilog AMS, CPPSim / C / C++, and/or Matlab. A BS,
MS, PhD in EE or equivalent experience is preferred.

- Responsible for the development of customer specific front-end reference designs with the BWS transceiver

Customer Field Applications Engineer (West Coast)- CUS02081105A
Work as a member of a team to bring highly integrated programmable radio transceiver chipsets to market. The emphasis will be to provide onsite, post sales support for customers in the Western USA. Position location will be home office based for the first year. Expect 75% of time spent traveling to customer sites and company headquarters in Lowell, MA. A candidate with a strong wireless systems background as well as design and/or applications experience in the wireless industry is preferred.
Job Duties
- Lead evaluation and integration technical activities for customer accounts
- Maintain regular, structured communication with customers
- Interface with customers to identify technical requirements
- Track customer project schedules, priorities and level of satisfaction
- Advocate and drive resolutions to all customer technical issues

Lab Director - CHA02081104A
Lead a team of approximately six people to develop automated test software and equipment needed to test and evaluate a state of the art RF analog IC. A firm understanding of wireless, RF and analog test methods is required. Primary duties include the staffing, planning and execution of complex automatic test procedures for a new RF analog wireless IC. The individual must be able to drive the derivation of a system test plan and its execution in a timely manner. This requires working with the design and systems engineering teams
Job Duties
- Lead team of 6 people to develop automated test software
- Manage implementation and execution of test plan
